They who have endeared themselves to many
families “off the beaten track” who have had sickness or death in
their families, because all that they ask is that the folks give them a
“ring” and they promptly respond so that the doctor may get to the
stricken home or the patient get to a hospital, or even if it is more
unfortunate, in that death has come to somebody’s loved ones, these
Vestaburg Boys, without receiving any extra pay, respond without a
whimper and are only happy to be able to help in time of need.
Our thanks to the
Vestaburg Boys, Cecil E. Tubbs (pictured above, 1946-47, taken south of
Edmore, Michigan), Herbert Wadle, John House, Glen Wrisley, and Lynn
Corder, of the Montcalm County Highway Department, Vestaburg Garage. |
